Dark cherry color with aromas of ripe fruit. On the palate, the wine has good structure and is well-balanced and lively. Pairs nicely with a variety of foods including soft cheeses, first courses of cold meat, pastas and fish; as well as heartier meals of roast lamb or pork. Perfect for your next summer BBQ! Winemaking
For centuries, in this wine region, the Monastrell grape has reigned over other varieties. They reach their peak in the high elevations that allow a slow and late ripening, thus transmitting a fruity character and soft palate. For this wine, the grapes are hand-picked from 30 year-old vines during 2 weeks in October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 25 days at max temperature of 25°C. Following malolactic fermentation, the wine stays in stainless steel tanks until packaging.
