This is an Organic/Bio Dynamic, 9 year old Cortese from the village of Gavi in Piedmont Italy. At the bottom of this beautiful south western hillside, below the 16th century buildings is an ancient Almond tree. The staff at the farm believe the old vine roots of the Cortese grape vines which run deep, are touching the roots of the Almond tree. They call this wine IL Mandorlo.....The Almond!
